Nope, but they lack the beauty of the highest tides in the world, sandy beaches, and the warmest water north of Florida. Other places in the Maritimes have the beaches and water, but none have the warm water (you'll freeze you ass off in the water in Nova Scotia). I have a cottage 15 minutes outside of Moncton (Shediac) and am seriously considering moving their permanently when I retire.
PS for the people who don't know, the South east side of NB is on the Northumberland Straight. As it is shallower than the Atlantic and PEI blocks it from being right on the Atlantic, it's water are incredibly warm. Looking for a cottage looke there, or on the western side of PEI.
