My personal belief is that if TV news is in trouble because of the internet it is because it is trying to be too muck like the internet. Publishing stories without vetting them. Publishing based on rumours in attempts to get a "scoop". These are areas traditional news cannot beat the internet. And when the trustworthiness of traditional media becomes as questionable as the internet then the traditional forms of the media become irrelevant.

fair enough ... i think where TV news will have a place is in the "news magazine" model. The 6:00 news is really a glorified highlite package and frankly they dont provide enough depth on any issue.
