Do the math on donating to a charity... it's one of the biggest wastes of money in our society.
The worst culprits are the bazzilion breast cancer organizations. That Weekend to End Breast Cancer is the biggest scam I've ever seen. It's not even a charity, and thus no bound by the 80-20 rule. It's really only popular because boobies are very important to everyone. It's not like we see the same amount of coverage or funds for prostate cancer....
I'd much rather donate directly to a research program at a University then have a bunch of middle-men take a large chunk.
