They need to cut him in the off season. For the type of person he is, and the type of team they're trying to put together it's a disaster of a fit. Not to mention at his age and the amount of hits he's taken, his skill set no longer makes him a top running back. Thats a young mans position and at 27-28 you're an old man at that position. I think he'd make a perfect Bengal or Raider myself.

I must say that there are some intriguing races starting to shape up though. The AFC East is still pretty wide open right now. The only team who doesn't look like they can win that Division right now is the Bills who looked like they should roll it 3 weeks ago. The Ravens aren't going away in the AFC North and the Steelers seem like they have an absolutely brutal schedule. Even in the AFC West the Chargers should still be able to challenge the Bronco's for the Division. Than you get the wild card race which currently has all the AFC East teams, the Steelers/Ravens and the Colts competing for that spot. By the end of the year it could very well be a mess of 9-7 teams and a bunch of tie breakers to figure out who's in.

The NFC has good Division battles shaping up in the South and North with 3 teams all having legitimate shots at those Divisions right nownow. The Falcons at 6-3 are a huge surprise to me at least. This all makes for a bit of a chase for the Wild Card as 3 NFC East teams and the 2 others from the South should fight for that spot, and one of the teams from the North might end up with a good enough record to be in contention for that too if they can't get that Division. As of right now, I think you can punch the Cardinals playoff ticket. Seriously....which one of the Niners, Hawks, or Rams is going to get hot enough to win more than 5 games this season?
