Perhaps, but I did say I was speaking from experience. The people who count the votes quite literally don't pay any attention to a spoiled ballot. It goes into a tiny little pile. Nobody reads it. Or, maybe more precisely,
a nobody reads it, and that is the end of it.

Well there's the rub. Even if Anders did care, a few spoiled ballots isn't necessarily an affront or any sort of statement to him. He doesn't know why you did it. None of the candidates know why. As far as they are concerned maybe you spoiled the ballot because you can't read, or some other reason. They won't take it as a message sent to them personally, I'm sure of that. Or more likely (IMO), they won't even hear the number and if they do, the number is so insignificant that they won't really care.
I understand the sentiment but I just don't think it does anything. My vote didn't do anything today either, but I still did it.
