I was actually thinking the opposite. Every joe factory worker i know does gripe about funding for meat dresses and the like.
It pitches directly to harpers sweet spot (as a tiny little token) and the more they chirp about it the more it hits home.
Those that really don't like it were never going to vote conservative anyway.
