SInce the great things about the movie have been stated over and over I won't go into detail, just that I agree.

I read in the Herald that the New Yorker hated the movie and while I disagree they made some interesting points. The one that I kind of agree with is that the movie was one 2 hour climax, and that since it was constantly climaxing (never thought I'd say that like it's a bad thing!) the ending seemed a little unsatisfying.

However, I loved the score and the fact that the movie was intense from start to finish was pretty cool. Not often am I that engaged/nervour/creeped out during a 2.5 hour movie. Loved the There Will Be Blood type really high pitched violin? or whatever that is when they had the intense moments.

Also agree with earlier poster who mentioned the suspension of reality. Like the Fed Ex guy showing up to the Ferry with 100 drums of gasoline. Pretty funny. Also it seemed like any character was able to get anywhere, be it in a car or building etc effortlessly without being detected/caught. Joker and Two Face both did it on multiple occasions.

Overall though this is definitly the best comic book movie ever! Bale is the best batman followed closely by Keaton. BTW Van, Bale and Nolan did the deep animal sounding voice intentionally. They thought it made him more menacing while hiding his Bruce Wayne voice.

Wouldn't mind seeing Superman be the villain in the third one. Will never happen i know but it'd be just like The Dark Knight Returns. Superman being all a goody goody and stuff. If they include Robin it'd have to be like in Dark Victory where he joins and then the movie ends. It would take too much story to have him actually fight with Batman. The best part would be watching the friendship take off and Bruce learning to trust a kid.
