Because the bonus number was 43, if you had 5 numbers plus the bonus you won less money than if you didn't have the bonus.

The difference was $1,193 to $2,223. The real kicker is that usually 5 + bonus wins you anywhere from $200,000 to $400,000. Hopefully nobody who had 5 + bonus that week quit their job! |
