i believe there should be consequences if you do something wrong... for example i lost my first wife in a car wreck. The lady who hit us had no insurance. I lost my wife, and was on the hook for 200+ grand of hospital bills because of it. The lady was never charged with a crime and never held liable in anyway. Therefore the was no consequences for her for driving without insurance and/or killing someone. WHat are the chances that this lady is still driving without insurance ???

Not to get all insurancey on you but.....did you not have the SEF #44 on your policy? This stands for standard endorsement form #44 and is also known as the family protection endorsement. I would say 99% of policy holders have this coverage. Basically what it does is cover you for up to $1,000,000 if you are in an accident and the third party does not have insurance or the third party has an inadequate amount of insurance. I just find it hard to believe that you would not have had this coverage and that you had to pay for the third parties negligence?
