The Liberals expected to gain a ton of vote with no work at all. Their plan this year might have been worse than their disasterous "The rest of Canada can't be wrong" campaign of 1935.
The NDP are always going to be irrelevant in this province, and the Liberal name is a stain. Perhaps they should merge those parties under a new banner, close to or slightly left of where the Liberals are now

They shouldn't merge. The liberals should rebrand themselves, work their way closer to the center of the spectrum and get a leader that has a corporate background ... people with a corporate background tend to have a good grasp on practicality, which would give them some credibility.
I don't really want a left leader, but I wish they would put up a decent fight and be a competant opposition party that can push the PC's better.
