Some players dont even tie the top eyelet, so try different lace methods. You dont want your your top holes on the skate to be too tight, especially if you want to become a more effective skater. Do not tie it too tight at the top two eyelets, as that will restrict your ankle movement.
Proper lacing at the top will allow for better inner/outer edge control than if it is super tight at the top, due to proper ankle movement. Edge control is key for effective skating. You dont want it super tight in the middle, however, you should have it somewhat tighter than at the top or toe.
