You know this kids has exhibited some pretty serious problems and he has a gun like this and you are not alarmed??? Did she ask him why he had such a weapon? To me that is a pretty glaring problem.

It's a greater problem than blaming the media for reporting on a legitimate news event. It's not the media's job to stay silent on it.
Rightly or wrongly, who he was, what he was and why he was that way is legitimate fodder for comment.
Having a 19 year-old guest with a criminal record in my house proudly showing off his AK-47 would be eyebrow raising to say the least!!!
