What makes a fart smell the way it does?

I am curious as to what makes fart smell like it does? Why do some farts smell differently than others? I think takes experience to become a fart connesuoir and figure exactly what you need to feed your body to create a certain smell. I have about 4 brands that I can create frequently:

Egg smell
Sulphur smell
Crude Oil smell
Garbage Dumpster aroma

Each one of these smell has a special place in my heart and my (arse)nal. I know what it takes to create these and I enjoy it. Does anyone share the love of farts as I do?

I fart in bottles, and label the date, time and what I ate. Then I save them for as long as I want to (sometimes up to a week or two) and then try to guess what I ate without looking at the label. It's really fun. I usually have 5 or 6 farts on the shelf at a time in my Dasani bottles.

For the record, the worst smelling ones I ever had were after eating a cheap bowl of crappy, pre-made onion soup. Never again! My girlfriend won't let me have onion soup ever again, even I was offended.

Well it is not truely sulfur, but more sour gas (H2S).

Ans so I can be a spelling nazi for the first time in my life it is sulfur and not sulphur anymore (since 1990ish it was official)

Absolutely. I think many of us would be willing to admit (or maybe not publically) that we like it. In fact, like Mike Myers said in Austin Powers (I believe), everyone likes their own brand!
