Looks just like the one pictured below...did the upgrade and had to pay for the 3rd so they wouldn't take it in trade.

Purchased just after Christmas last year...great condition. still have all original box and instructions and remote.

Assuming that Shaw doesn't track it, i suppose it would be possible for someone to take this off my hands and then make the swap for a newer one at Shaw for free (so long as you're buying Sunday Ticket or Centre Ice)

I got them to upgrade 3 boxes when ordering the NFL Package.

so you mentioned will not play NHL Centre Ice and NFL Sunday Ticket. Is there anything else that it doesn't play? It is good for HD movies, right?

yes, before i disconnected it, i was able to watch movie central and HBO in HD. Its just the new MPEG-4 format that is the issue. You can also exchange one of these boxes (with SHAW) for a brand new one (for free) that plays MPEG-4 if you sign up for Sunday Ticket or Centre ICE.

Is the equipment still under warranty?

Shaw has changed their promotion, you'd have to either have CI or NFL ticket in the past 2 years, OR the equipment has to be under warranty for you to get a new box.

If you order CI this year they will upgrade. If you're not the old box is actually better quality so it doesn't matter!

The whole reason they are rolling out the new boxes is the old Motorola ones are SOOOO expensive both for Shaw and Consumers.

I originally bought this one from Future Shop and not SHAW so it would not be under a SHAW warranty.
