Default Free Oil Change!

So I thought some CP'ers might want to check this out. A new automotive place in town called "Broken Axle" has an ad in the latest edition of the local Bridgeland newletter (link below). The ad is not only an ad but also a coupon, for any first time customer, for a free oil change anytime before Oct 30 2010. I have a copy of the newsletter, clipped the coupon, called today and with a little convincing they are sliding me tommorow! Here is the good part for the rest of you, talked to a fellow next door later this afternoon and he advised he has already taken advantage of the same deal, but by printing off the coupon in the link below as opposed to having the actual flyer. He had no issues with it and there is nothing in the coupon that states this is not allowed.

So there you go, free oil change! I will report back if I have any issues tommorow afternoon.

That PDF is long! The coupon is on page 16.

lol..yeah, despite the coupon being in our community flyer, the shop is quite a ways away.

Thanks for the tip kipperfan! I hope you don't mind me posting it on my deals blog (www.calgarydealsblog.com). I gave you and CP credit for it.

I don't see why broken axle wouldn't honor the coupon. We are sending a lot of potential future clients to them if they do a good job on the free oil change.

Yes, the coupon is authentic and it works. The owner of Broken Axle visited my blog and confirmed it. You can check it out here: http://www.calgarydealsblog.com/2010...mment-65880921

I guess I referred a lot of people from my blog.

I'm really surprised by this. I'd Almost feel guilty showing up knowing they'd be out $80 of there own money for oil to do my car and $20 for a filter. Someone should try use it on a giant diesel 3/4 ton and see if it works for that too. Pretty smart way to earn some long term customers.

I forgot about this thread, but yes, the deal is legit and they seemed to have done a good job (not hard, but still) on my oil change. On top of that, there is a fairly hot chick that works the front desk that you get to talk to while you wait!

Any current recommendations for oil changes in the city - prefer SW.

Thanks

Mr Lube on Macleod Trail (NB) and 68th ish. When I was working I would get my oil changed there once a month, never any issues. Yes, close to 5000 kms a month, so glad to not being doing that anymore.

If you are an AMA member Mr. Lube provides a discount as well.
