Patterson's most likely stopping point next season is Calgary's American Hockey League affiliate in Abbotsford, B.C. He joined the Abbotsford Heat for their playoff run last season after the Blades were eliminated and scored one goal in three games.
Patterson is also eligible to return to the Blades, but for now, he'll concentrate on trying to crack a professional roster.
not bad that a 7th round pick has already played in the system, is signed and has a shot to make the Heat just one year after being drafted
he's aready played 4 years of major junior. Sutter has said in the past, he doesn't think prospects need to play a 5th year, unless they come to camp out of shape (eg. JD Watt)
