$6.80 for source. Whats the point in vac banning obvious hackers if they can rebuy for $7?

Making money for Valve basically. Hackers are such a small minority of CS players these days that it really doesn't matter to them. CS is still the top played multiplayer game in the world at any time.

I dont really think they are the minority. I've been playing CS since 01 and I still see a lot of obvious hackers.

I basically won't pay for any videogame unless it's under $15 now because of Steam.

Thanks, might not have logged in for a couple of days to see this.

I was very close to buying Bioshock 2 and Killing Floor a few days ago. So $20 instead of $50, not bad.

Even games I've paid very little for... if they're in a package I might buy, that's no good.

Don't get me wrong, I'm cross-referencing this thread with the 3D Vision forums and will still probably buy a few things today.

Racing games are quite fun with that. I still can't justify a 120Hz monitor or moving to Nvidia for now. Their cards just consume too much power and are too inefficient and hot right now.

Steam is great. I honestly used to pirate a lot of games because I couldn't be asked to pay the high prices as a student (and really invasive/restrictive drm, which is still an issue for some. Looking at you ubisoft). I still am a student, but these deals are awesome and I can't remember the last game I pirated now.

Very sad though. I bought Europa Universalis complete and the expansion a week or so ago (awesome strategy game btw) and it is now 25 bucks cheaper. Check it out if you like conquering the world and don't care about super pretty graphics!

Yeah, no crosshairs means no screen-depth crosshairs, so racers tend to be good. I've got GRID and Burnout Paradise.

Never bought a 120Hz monitor though, just a 3D-Ready DLP for my first big-screen TV. Half-resolution 3D, but that might be why it doesn't ghost. Might also help framerates, I'm not sure.

Yikes, 60Hz 3D? It's okay on your eyes? Maybe it's because you are on a couch watching a TV and not a monitor that's right in front of you.

I'm waiting to see if Crysis goes on sale again (it was $15 with Warhead last Christmas) because I want to try the mechwarrior mod for it.

I'd also like Episodes from Liberty City (GTA IV DLC) to come down in price as it's $22 right now for what people say is a short DLC. I only paid $8 for GTA IV on Steam last sale.

Some of these package deals are so good I'll probably end up with two copies of some of the games I already own. Hmm... Don't know if I should buy Bioshock 2 or not... 2K deal is good, but I already have CivIV complete.

No it's 120 Hz half-res (checkerboard) 3D. PC sends a 60 Hz signal that contains left and right eye, put TV in 3D mode and instead of showing all pixel 60 times a second is shows half (one eye) then half (other eye) 60 times a second.

I kind of want to pick up GTA, but the "Rockstar Weekend" sale was definately better.

GTA is great for PC because of mods. Unfortunately, the best mod, one that adds custom shaders and effects and most importantly, anti-aliasing to the PC version (via supersampling) requires an insane computer and is incompatible with the latest version of the game and steam automatically sends you the latest version.

I told steam not to auto-patch my copy but it did anyway! I can still use the first person mod so that's okay. I'd imagine that game would be amazing in 3D.
