Default Geocities Shutting Down on Oct. 26th

Hey guys, just a reminder, Yahoo is shutting down Geocities in only a few days on the 26th! If you have anything you need to save or any favorite sites with rare stuff you want, better save them all quickly. I don't know if the internet archive will have them. Does anybody know of a good program that can download everything from a geocities directory structure?

I used mine to hide all my bookmarks to the good free porn sites in random images on the page, so I didn't have to bookmark them on my Grandmother's computer.

As for Hack&Lube's question, I think this has been posted about before and I replied about a program that might work, that downloads an entire webpage to a local copy. I can't remember what the program is called for the life of me but if you search for that thread, it will be there.

Edit: here is the thread http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=74118

Actually, I just notice that it was you who posted it. The program is Httrack.

I had like two GeoCities sites. A personal one and a fansite. And then I moved to Tripod or something. I haven't looked at either in at least ten years. :P

Definitely nothing worth keeping though.

I had one. It was a phase. I don't even remember what was on it. I haven't even heard the word geocities in a while.

I wonder if ten years from now we'll be talking about Facebook in the same way.

I also wonder what will die out first, Twitter or Facebook?
