Palm Pre
Just got it today.
What an incredible phone! There are so many things that I absolutely LOVE about it.
-can open multiple apps at the same time
-WebOS is so easy and user-friendly and fun
-the design is sleek and a very comfortable fit in your pocket
-slide out QWERTY keyboard
-great camera with flash
-removable battery
-handles like an iphone, but is faster, it moves from landscape to portrait even faster than the 3gs
-very accurate GPS
-it can tell when the phone is up to your face and when you remove it, saving battery power and making it easy so that you have access to the screen when you are ready to end a call, and you do not even have to press a button like in other phones.
-it has a speaker that works well
-the synergy with google yahoo hotmail and facebook is second to none
-the calendar app is made by palm, and thus it is very well put together and so easy to use, it is one of the things that automatically gathers info from google/facebook/yahoo for your calendar
-it can sync with itunes
-it has WiFi and bluetooth
-it can view .doc and .xls and pdf files
Its app catalog is growing, but is a drop in the bucket compared to the iphone atm, but the Pre is new to the scene, they will come.

Plus I'm pretty sure there is already a way to use most of the old Palm apps which number in the thousands.

Not available right away but they will have an app that will allow you to use legacy PALM apps on the pre.
Cool phone IMO, I am happy with my iPhone however.

How is the battery life? I have heard it is abysmal. Like almost unusable. I think the review I read stated they had drained the battery in the time it took to wait for a flight. But that's on the internet, so who really knows (except you!)

They have an app right now called Classic that lets you run legacy PALM apps.
I got mine today as well and love it so far. Haven't noticed an issue with the battery.
I got the touchstone charger and thats pretty cool as well.

I got one from the states thinking it would be cheaper, but it ended up costing me the same after shipping. Man this thing is awesome. I love how intuitive it is... its smarter than me!
