Save a Bird!
I know I just confessed to burder in the other thread, but I actually love birds. I was golfing today and my friend hit a tree and this little guy fell out of the tree. So I played the back nine with a bird in my hand, It was a bit weird (some might even call it flaming), but I couldn't let this f'er just die on the golf course.
So now he's in my apartment, chilling in my jade plant, and he can't fly. WTF do I do with him?
PS, I named him Jeebuzz.

Is that tap water you gave him or bottled? I ask, because I'm not sure a weak bird could handle the clorine (or whatever it is) in our tap water.
At least you can say that while golfing today you hit a birdie!

Hopefully that's the only map in your apartment, because anymore than one would just be weird.

You should call the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society at (403) 239-2488. They'll be able to assist you, as they help with abandoned, injured or orphaned birds and small mammals.

when i was a kid my cat brought in a bird, so i took the bird and put it in a box with a facecloth lining..i got worms and chopped them up with tweezers and shoved them down his throat, put a lamp on him to keep him warm and went to bed..i thought i turned the lamp off in my sleep in the middle of the night,(it was probably mom)..and when i woke up the bird was dead..i thought i killed it so i had huge guilt, and cried my eyes out..and every time i think of worms till this day i could barf because i must have cut up 100 of them!

There's nothing "Gay" about what you did in trying to save that bird. These little creatures are far more worthy of a heart beat than a lot of ...

I found a baby bird like that a couple years ago at the place I was working. I took him home and named him Jack Sparrow. Filled a hamster cage with grass, a bowl of water and some seeds.
Jack Sparrow was dead by morning.

Thanks to you, Jeebuzz is now in the care of Calgary Wildlirfe Rehabilitation Society. For the record, it took me off guard. It's a house. With cages around it. I'm not sure why they're better suited to care for Jeebuzz than I am, but they were wearing shirts that said Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society on them, so Jeebuzz is probably better off with them.

Oh, I forgot to quote whoever told me that I was responsible for killing the bird. I can't come up with a funny response, so I'm just going to threaten your life. Don't ever tell me that again.

I saw a bird get smoked on the highway the other day by a truck in front of me. As it was descending down, it was frantically flapping its broken wings in the middle of the road. When it finally hit, it was just flopping around. I felt so friggin bad for it. My first instinct was to turn around and take it to the wildlife sanctuary place in Madden or at the very least run it over and put it out of its misery, but determined pulling a u'ey on a highway wasn't the safest thing in the world for me other the other drivers.
So don't let people tell you you did something wrong or gay. I wish I could of helped that other birdy.
