Adrian went 1-for-5 on the power play and Northland was 0-for-4. Sophomore Brad Fogal made 11 saves and picked up his third shutout of the season and eighth of his career. Adrian (16-1-1, 13-0 MCHA) had 40 shots on goal in the first, 30 in the second and 29 more in the third. Sophomores Joel Workman and Drew Satterley each had seven shots on goal.

Apparently the follow up game was better (relatively speaking).

The shots on goal came back down to earth and Daniel McIntosh only had to make 39 saves in this contest as Adrian registered 44 shots on goal.

This is actually my brother, I found this part of the article interesting:

I thought to myself, well, maybe it was 50 or 60 shots, because sometimes that happens when we play against some of the top teams in the nation," McIntosh says. "But 99 shots? Guys were coming in to the dressing room after the game and saying I had 99 shots. I was like, 'No way.' So I asked the guy who did the stats if it was really 99 shots. And he said it was."
