Also I believe Barnes has this camera and perhaps others.
Condition:
This is a well traveled camera, it's been to Japan, Europe and Latin America. Having said that cosmetically it's in good shape. The lens is scratch free, all the LCD pixels work and it's been protected by a screen guard. There are minor wear marks on the body, but there are no cracks. There is a ring around the lens you remove to mount the adapter and I seem to have misplaced this ring, but will continue to look for it. I leave the adapter on all the time with one of the filters on so the lens is always protected.
What I like about the camera:
The size is great. it's reasonably small (though not pocketable) and the zoom range on it is great. I also like that it takes AA batteries as if you're stuck with dead rechargeable you can always find some alkalines to get you through. I also like the articulated LCD display which comes out and rotates 270 degrees. Makes it easy to take pictures over your head or self portraits. The video mode is also surprizingly good with clear images. I've taken it to many hockey games and gotten good shots and good video.
I've printed 8x12 pics that look sharp and clear to me, megapixels aren't everything, the lens and sensor are important.
Cons:
I really don't have any that come to mind. Perhaps the 36mm on the wide end isn't great enough but the wide angle lens gives you 18mm and works well. The tele converter is poor quality glass so it's very soft at the edges and I've never really used it. It came in a kit with the filters and the wide angle so it's just an add in. I've liked everything about this camera, I just don't use it now that I've gone to a dSLR so it needs a new home.
Cheers.
