CP Television Show Draft - Workshop Thread
After Movies it's Television
Would like no more than 16 teams.. max is 20 is there's more interest.
I would like less teams and more categories.

There is no rule. You can fill any category at any time.
I might modify the randomizer as well (some people said in the past the randomizer wasn't fair so I may need to tweak it with some 'class participation'

I still wonder whether we should have a category covering some of those shows seen on the likes of "TLC", "Food Network", and the like. There are tons of programs covering things like Tattoos, cars, motorbikes, food, real estate etc. that would be fun to be included. (Don't want to name any of the shows at this point!) Perhaps this could be a "Lifestyle" category. Girlysports and I wondered if this would be too vague though.
I guess we could also have some Wildcards just like the others too, and those type could end up there if we cannot get a consensus on the above Lifestyle types.
Thoughts?

We could do like the Emmys and have Reality (competion) and Reality (non-competition) - or whatever names are appropriate - so shows like that one with the dancing, or the one with the singing, or the one with the racing, would be in the competition category; and shows like the one with the renovations, or the one with the learning how to dress, or the one with the motorbikes would be non-competition.
A category I was thinking about was "One Season Wonder (or why did they cancel my favourite new show?)" for shows that were great but never found an audience and were cancelled without a second season.

^All 3 good ideas...Lifestyle, 2 different reality categories and one season wonder...although I can't think of many one season wonders but I'm sure we could all find some.

One season wonder (or maybe two to have more choice) is a good idea. I really like that one.
Also, I want to throw this out there. How about doing a straight draft instead of the snake style? I found that being near the beginning meant that you had two quick choices then nothing for ages. I would prefer to get to pick in order every round. As for position, well that's completely luck of the draw so if you're last, that's just the way it is. What does evreybody think?
