Default Google from 2001! Search calgarypuck :D

http://www.google.com/search2001.html

Version of their search engine from 2001. Pretty funny to search for iPod and see nothing about Apple.

A search for 'Iraq war' brings up 1980's stuff. Oh what a beautiful thought.

Even better...September 11th brings up random things.

"Calgary Flames"

Yahoo! Sports: NHL - Calgary FlamesBy Mark Miller, Calgary Sun. If the NHL kept records of it, the Flames would
certainly be contenders for holding it -- the team that gives up the most goals

Captain Dave Lowry, who netted 18 last season, had no goals in 16 games; Clarke Wilm was without a goal in 19 games; Marc Savard had no goals in 11 games; Ronald Petrovicky had an 11-game scoreless drought; Scott Nichol had no goals in eight games; Rob Niedermayer, went nine games before collecting an empty-netter against Detroit, and that was his second all season; Chris Clark has gone 13 games without a goal.

Ahhhh, the good old days.

Yeah that's the one I googled too just to see it. That and "New York World Trade Centre" which brings up some links about the world's tallest buildings.

Neat idea by google.

This cool site dug up the archives of Calgarypuck dating back to october 26th 2000

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://calgarypuck.com

1st Annual CALGARYPUCK POSTER AWARDS

http://web.archive.org/web/200208060...ter_Awards.htm

http://web.archive.org/web/200209171...?TOPIC_ID=3621

Or Charltons NHL index

http://web.archive.org/web/200303042...lton_Index.htm

A look at the 2002 forum

http://web.archive.org/web/200206021...puck.addr.com/

http://web.archive.org/web/200206011...uck.com/forum/

http://web.archive.org/web/200208121...asp?FORUM_ID=2

The downside is not all links are archived.

It's a cool tool to look at websites from the past.

Lots and lots of storage space.

They do backups I'm sure so they probably just went back to a backup of the indexes at that time.

Ah, back when I was only a mere lurker.

We should do the awards again. I'd like to nominate myself for the one where "this poster appears to know something, but no one knows what that something is."

Lanny and Bingo had a bet on how many goals the Flames would score, I think they made a bet over how much they were off by or something like that.
