Sobey's/IGA - Quebec trip fundraiser
Hello CP faithful.
My daughter is going on a trip to Quebec in May of 2009 as part of her french immersion program in her middle school.
As a fundraiser they are selling Sobeys/IGA gift certificates. These gift certificates can be use to do your normal grocery shopping and also make an excellent gift idea.
For any gift certificate she sells Sobeys/IGA will donate 10% towards her trip. These gift certificates can be used in any Sobeys/IGA in Alberta, Sask and Manitoba. They come in denominations of $25.00 and $100.00.
If you live in Sask/Man they can also be used at Price Chopper.
If you use these fine stores to do your grocery shopping, please support my daughter's quest for her trip to Quebec by purchasing a gift certificate.
She needs to raise $3000.00.
Please inquire by way of post or PM, if you wish to purchase them. Thanks in advance.

Now this is definitely the way to fundraise. So if she needs to raise $3000, does this mean she has to sell $30 000 worth of gift certs?

yes, thats correct. as we do the majority of our grocery shopping here in edson at the local IGA, we are just buying gift certificates now to pay for the groceries...
in total she has raised $110.00 so far but the campaign just started.

Personally, I eat all of my meals in pubs and bars and therefore have no use for such a fine product, but I commend you for helping your daughter out in this venture.
At least it seems like a decent fundraising method. Better than having to buy junk you dont want or use....

Hey gang,
just thought I would bump this thread as my daughter just got more Sobey's/IGA gift cards in.
As per the original post, my daughter is selling gift cards for Sobey's/IGA in order to raise funds for a trip to Quebec in 2009.
Sobey's/IGA will donate up to 10% from each card sold towards her trip.
A $100 purchases you a $100 gift card. so its a 1 for 1 deal.
thanks to all those that purchased cards before. If you need more, please feel free to PM me.
thanks in advance.
