CP goes to Vegas...
In about a week's time, a 4 member delegation from Calgarypuck will be making their way down to Las Vegas for their very first time. Myself, kermitology, Burninator, and RatherDashing will be experiencing the sights and sounds for 4 days and 4 nights that we have only ever heard about in various episodes of CSI Las Vegas.
This thread is for suggestions on what we should do (or not do), see, and take in. This is our virgin Vegas adventure, hopefully it breaks us in gently .

If you lose money at poker, hit the craps table. Worked for me.

Drive down if you have the time - the journey through MT, ID and UT is fun too (except for the dry towns in UT).
ESPN Bar. Go see boxing at MGM.
Las Vegas Wranglers.
Spearmint Rhino.

I've been to Vegas a few times.
-Make sure you stay on "The Strip". It makes the Vegas experience much more enjoyable.
- Spearmint Rhino as people already mentioned.
- Go to Pure and Rain
- Check out the Bellagio Casino (tons of celebrities play table there on the weekends. We saw Ben Affleck, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rasheed Wallace, etc there).
But mainly play at Flamingo Hilton Casino if you can (Bellagio's table limits are nuts for the most part).
- Flamingo Hilton has a very good buffet (pretty cheap too)
- Check out a show at MGM Grand (always different shows playing but they had a couple great ones when I was there)
-Lots of shopping to be done there. They have a lot of outlets if you need to buy clothes.
And remember the #1 rule, "Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"

Except Aids!
Thanks for the ideas. We are staying at the Tropicana (curses Burninator!) which should be at least a pretty good location even though the hotel is lacking.

Spearmint Rhino is ok, but we found that Treasures better, lot more girls, a lot more attention.
The outdoor bar and live bands outside the Imperial Palace is very entertaining. There's a cool piano bar pretty close to that in Harrah's.
The Shrimp and Bacon club at the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars is awesome, so is the breakfast quesadilla.
If you play poker, sit at the cash tables right on the strip at O'Shea's, lots of fun.

LOL, just to warn you they have "women" - like 8 to 10 per block (on every single street) handing out cards. Stay clear of those, lol.

Also - you HAVE to go to The Gun Store about 3miles down Tropicana drive.
It is an AWESOME time and a hellofa hangover cure.
Do a handgun and an auto. I suggest the AK-47!
