Board Games that Rule!
I love board games. So much fun and great for small social gatherings.
Here are my favourites. Anyone else have any good ones or personal favourites?
Scattergories
Cranium
And my new favourite: Quelf, certainly a random mix of criteria involved. If you have ever played the drinking game Kings Cup this is the board game version of it. Rules like you need to ask your foot for permission to speak, fun categories, random trivia, making stupid haiku's and limericks. Tons of fun.

Crazy!
Risk is pretty sweet if you have the time to play an entire game.

I've given up on all board games of chance. I'm one of those Monopoly players that freak out when when a Monopoly noobie is kicking ass with all their dice rolls

Jenga! Does that count? I love group games like Scattergories and Pictionary. Life is pretty fun too.
I have a copy of Calgary-opoly. Good game!

Jenga definitely counts. Playing Jenga reminds me of Thailand, for some reason a lot of the bars had Jenga hanging around, along with Connect 4. Connect 4 is awesome!

A classic favorite between me and my siblings is Risk. Whenever the family gets together on the holidays or in the summer we usually play a game. We've definitely had our share of intense moments haha... especially with my brothers. Sometimes we take the game too seriously and it gets out of hand. Everything from "secret treaties" to alliances, etc. I remember one time I back stabbed my brother and he totally got pissed cause it eliminated him from the game.

hmm good thread...
I think Ill have to hit up the store and pick up a few games that the fam won't mind playing on xmas... we typically just sit around drinking and watch movies/listen to music or something, but a good game that you can drink while playing could be fun.

Some good ones here, but Absolute Balderdash wins, hands down.
I'm also never allowed to play Trivial Pursuit: Pop Culture Edition with friends anymore
