I recall being taught in younger years that shouldn’t in fact clean the wax out of your ears, it is there for a reason

Slighty OT, but so is this thread:

Does anyone else's ear wax usually smell fairly funky? Every time I go in to clear some buildup my pinky finger smells pretty nasty. It's something I only noticed a couple weeks ago.

As for the question, why would you put anything foreign in your ear (except a Qtip)?

I also hate when mosquitoes can anywhere near my ears.
