You can put the dry ice in a cooler and it will keep food completely frozen, and it lasts for about 3-5 days. When it melts, it turns to gas instead of water so it doesnt get the food all soggy. It is way easier than having to go by ice every day and then have soggy boxes, etc... when the ice melts.
I give you one warning though. Two years ago we put our beers in a cooler filled with dry ice, and it is much colder than real ice. The beers were completely frozen when we checked them again.
