You're describing game threads that I didn't read....because I was there!!!
Except game 7 vs Tampa, when I couldn't read anything regarding the Flames because it hurt so much.
TPBM has to be one of the silliest ever.
The Lanny papers was insane. Comical, but ludicrous.
I think all the WMD threads can be grouped into one gigantic, comical, bundle of fun

The old board, or even v2.0, had a lot less people on it, but very entertaining threads...those crazy kids Peddle vs. Jordon.
The longest one for a while, was just after I got on the board....the (alledged) discrimination and power trip/roughness that the Edmonton cops used on Flames fans on a trip in March 2002.

There were some pretty nasty Marc Savard-related threads.
I cant remember for sure but I think the Cory Stillman trade generated some negative heat. Maybe not an alltime great, but a lot of really dumb projections were made (many by me).
JohnnyFlame would poo-poo every move the Flames made for a long time. Every coaching change, every trade, every hiring. That would raise the blood-pressure of many. Sadly, it seems he was right every time. The hirings of Hay/Gilbert/Button probably the main things.

That one really brings a smile to my face just because the thread generated the all-time best handle "Wife of Abused".

Well, I didn't read those game threads but . . . .
I believe there was a 3000 post thread about two years ago, before the Afghanistan conflict, on the off-topic board, with guys like Captain Sensible, Displaced, Gerry Cheevers and maybe myself playing prominent roles. I think that was the first time Bingo was even aware he had an off-topic board.
There was an epic thread of roughly 1,200 posts on the hockey board that was easily the most insane thing you would have ever read.
There was also total madness here on Sept. 11, 2001, as people immediately stepped in to say America had it coming. That was really the birth of the off-topic board which followed later.
There was the Dave Lowry gets killed as captain thread.
There was the Marc Savard threads which spawned the phrase "Savard Threads make baby jesus cry."
There was the Greg Gilbert threads.
There were the Craig "Pause" Button threads.

Oh yeah, "Calling out Cowperson"
That was the biggest dogpile I have ever seen on this board. Man, I kinda felt sorry for that guy.

Was there a certain thread that created the "FATA" phenomenon? I think Fata has to be added to the dictionary.

Those are the ones that stand out to me the most. The Savard supporters were coined "Branch Savardians" by Transplant I believe, and Gilbert Gestapo for the Gilbert supporters by someone that I won't mention. Although, I have to admit, Branch Savardians is funnier even if I was insulted at the time.
It would be fun to dig up some of the Stillman trade threads too. I remember how some people were just p*ssed (myself included). I remember one thread was titled; "Craig freakin' Conroy!?". Funny how things worked out.

7. Thou shalt not begin redundant threads. While you don't have to search back and find a thread that's six months old to post in, it IS expected to put a little effort into seeing if there is an existing thread for your post. If you don't, expect to see visions of a dancing Rico Fata.
The term was apparently coined when Fata was traded, and the trade was posted numerous times in a bunch of different threads.
I still think this should be replaced with "help a hockey player"

When IDF posted the 'insider info' about a Ducks/Flames trade...or Flames signing an ex-Duck. I dont remember. The Cujo rumour thread. Frostymug's farewell. There were a bunch of old Jordon/Adam classics. The "When Do I Get My Seasons Tickets" threads were pretty funny. Draft days are always fun too.

Frostymug and his shots at everyone at this board upon his departure for getting caught in a no-no.
Special Neids threads.
The Good Ship Flames losing some shipmates on some November 2001 Game threads, after just 3 losses in a row to NYI, NYR and ATL...bordering on acute insantity were some of the comments in those threads. (including (paraphrased) by someone "The CBA lockout can't come too soon) !!!!)
IDF's hot scoop, for which he left us hanging for 8+ hours, was Kevin Sawyer.

Yeah. That was brilliant. It was something like "guess what Duck the Flames are going to acquire". Speculation ran rampant until hours later he came back on and unveiled that it was Kevin Sawyer. And then that even didn't come through. Hilarity.
