Wow, I am sitting in a hotel room in Buffalo just trying to register everything right now. I really appreciate the kind words in the other thread, it means a lot to me to hear that. I honestly could not have been caught more off guard or thought I could be so sad to say bye to the guys. I have so much respect for the players in the locker room and if I can't hold the cup I would love nothing more than to see my good friends do it there. Thanks again for all of the kind words and for being such great fans, it was truly special for me to play for the Flames and come across so many wonderful people during that time. Thanks, Andrew Ference, Go Bruins

I would say good luck in Boston, but I'm maybe hoping inside that you'll come back like Conroy did later.

You are going to rock in Boston. I hope you're flattered that you got traded for a top-four d-man. That should tell you what other GMs think about you.
We will always remember you for that spectacular performance in the 2003-2004 season, where your talents, charisma and personality shone through.

Andy you are such a class act it amazes me.
You MUST continue to frequent CP...you have alot of HUGE fans here and you not being a Flame will not change that.....come back anytime and chat.
And I wish you all the best in Boston...you are the kind of guy that should be hoisting the cup one day and I know it will happen.
Good luck Andy.

Lots of luck to you, Andrew. Thanks for being the voice of reason during the dark time of the NHL. I hope you continue fighting for the causes you believe it. It's been a pleasure having you on our team.
Andy, you are all class in my eyes man. You took the discount with hopes of staying in Calgary and playing with a team that you seem to love. It's too bad things didn't work out, but I'm sure you know as well as anybody that that's the business of hockey.
Andy, thanks for everything you've done for and accomplished with the Flames. Like its been said many times in various threads and will continue to be said, you are a class act and will be missed here in Calgary.
