Well, I am off to Toronto for the Sunday night Usher concert at the Air Canada Centre. I will be leaving on Wednesday at midnight (so don't miss me too much here on CP) returning Thanksgiving Monday. I was just wondering where the hot spots are in TO. From what I've heard when I talked to my friends and co-workers that have been to Toronto, I should hit up The Guverment. Supposedly this is a huge night club. What other night clubs are good? I like R&B, hip hop, etc. Pretty much what Vibe 98.5 plays

I am obviously going to the Hockey Hall of Fame (wearing my Hangin' in the Dome, chillen' with Jarome shirt) and Wayne Gretzky's restaurant. I am also going to check out the CN Tower as well. I heard I shouldn't miss it. I was able to get some wristbands for Much on Demand so I will be visiting Much Music Headquarters on Thursday.

So far those are my only plans. A couple questions I have are....Is the drive to Niagara Falls worth it on such a short trip? Is Canada's Wonderland fun at this time of year? Are the strip clubs comparable to Montreal? What restaurants do you recommend? Are thre any other tourist attractions that I should check out?

Your suggestions and stories are greatly appreciated. Please no "Go back to the Airport and head to Calgary comments". I want to have a blast in Toronto, party it up, and meet some hot chicks. Thanks again everyone!!!

I was at the Wonderland in the beginning of August.

Within a span of 5 hrs there were 3 accidents on 3 seperate rollercoasters. All mechanically related.

You can go there, but hold for dear life on the rides, literally!

Strip Clubs in TO aren't at Montreal standard, but the Zanzibar and Brass Rail (both downtown on Yonge) are good. Yonge Street is definitely the night life area, and you will find lots to do. The CN Tower is a collossal waste of money, $36-40 bucks to go up, and little to do after 10 minutes. The wait for an elevator takes longer than the attraction. If you are at the Hockey Hall of Fame, eat at Movenpick, on the Yonge entrance, excellent food for about $30.Wonderland will be pretty much dead now, and a big waste of dough.
Niagara has a decent night life, and 2 Casinos. Mints is a decent strip club there, but there are 2 better ones out by the QEW (Lundy's Lane). Clifton Hills is where the most action is, but Stanley Street has Hooters, The Happy Wanderer and the new Casino. If you go to NF, do the Maid of the Mist, it is worth the $10.

Actually, I thought all the strip club talk was a little more embarassing.

You must be the only male out of your group of friends that have never been to a strip club? Are you sure you're straight?

people in the East don't go to stripclubs. The only ones I'm aware of are the two in Moncton, and one in Dartmouth. They just don't seem to survive in the smaller towns.

Something just seems wrong about watching your cousin strip :P

Hey buddy, you are the one flying to Toronto to watch a teen hearthrob croon a bunch of corny songs in a very shirtless fashion, not me.

Strip-clubs, whatever. Not my thing. I was making a comment on duncan's encyclopedic knowledge of the peeler joints in the area. I thought it was kind of funny.

If you go to one strip club, go to Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Vaughan, just north of the city. It's close to Canada's Wonderland, actually. It's worth the drive.

Nightclubs-Guvernment is good. If Fluid Lounge is still open, I'd recommend that, as it leans towards R&B/hip-hop. It's at Richmond/Duncan in the entertainment district.

Other clubs: Easy& the Fifth, Atlantis Lounge, Money. A lot of these places have dress codes.

I'm sure there will be a lot of excited young women in the wake of the Usher concert, so have a blast.

Another tourist attraction-if you have a day with nice weather, go over to Toronto Island and chill out there. Great place.

Strip clubs are sausage fests though. Besides the dancers (who have heard every line in book), it's nothing but a bunch of horny men.

Coincidentally, I worked with a gay guy who used to like to go to the strippers every friday after work - because he liked the costumes.

I agree with the sentiment, FA. Strippers are boring/pointless.

Speaking of costumes - several months ago when going to FM industries, a "dancer" came out dressed as Kermit the Frog, "dancing" to "It's Not Easy Being Green"...and other Muppet songs. Wrong on so many levels...

I thought most of his fans were teenage girls but to each their own. I feel personally embarassed if I watch him for 3 seconds on TV.
