There's still a Bonanza in Saskatoon. Same with a Fudruckers. Remember that place? My little cousin made me take him there last time I was in town. Remember that gross liquid cheese that people would pump onto anything?

Man great thread.
I echo all of the above - Fuddruckers, Mothers, Chi-Chi's - all missed.
The Beefeater was great for steaks
Church's Fried Chicken
St. Hubert's Chicken (still in quebec i believe)
Pondarosa (the precursor to Bonanza)
The White Spot (the old White Spot not the ones that around now)

My top "gone restaurant" would be the Original 4th Street Rose, before they tried to franchise, "improve" the menu, and floated teets up down the river because of it.
Oddly enough this set off a chain reaction of suckage ruining three great restaurants in the process. The Latin corner moved into Roses, raised all their prices and changed their menu, and Divino's moved into the Latin corner and did likewise. All three restaurants were better in their old locations/formats, and now one's dead and I can't bring myself to patronize the other two.
On the same note... I miss the "original" Joey Tomato's and Cactus Club Cafe's, (before they were turned into Earl's metrosex bistro franchises).
I also miss the Red Robin in Kensington, but mainly because of who took over that location. Julio's Bario is the worst Mexican restaurant in existence, aimed at pasty white Canadians who are nostaligic for their Mom's grocery store "taco-kit" cooking.

Drove down to Great Falls MT on the weekend with the wife and kid. Not much else there, but there was a Fuddruckers which we ate at on Saturday night.

I'll second this. Mother's Pizza on 36th was my favorite place to eat as a kid.

Fuddruckers
They're still open in Saskatoon. Almost worth the 6 hour drive.

Bonanza - Steak and all you can eat shrimp. Good Times.
St. Huberts - Awesome chicken and ribs.
When I lived in Edmonton , Banditos - Great Mexican, Pyrogy House
Is there a decent place in Calgary for Pyrogies?
