Wife & I just read this too & can't believe.....
Absolutely tragic going from thoughts I'm sure those boys thought would just be something cool that they snuck in & took a ride on the famous bobsled track.....
To instead this horrific tragedy that has occurred.

So sad. Sure it was a stupid thing to do, but assuming it was kids or young adults, a lot of us did all kinds of dumb things when we were young.

If we lived in Calgary I could see my own son trying something like that. Heart breaking

Innocent decision that ends in tragedy. They started at the men's bobsled start and hit the wall which sections that part of the track off from the lower down Luge starts.

Totally something I could see me or my friends trying when we were younger. Sad that something like that ends with such devastating consequences.

Just read the Sun article on this story. Just awful. I did a lot dumb things too when I was a teenager. I could have been dead on a few occasions. Heart breaking.

What led up the decision to enter the track no doubt involved a fair bit of alcohol.

This comment pisses me off so much. Teenagers do dumb crap and people are dead - don't be a tool.

They brought it on themselves - yes, but so many of us did dumb crap at their age.

I don't think that's a fair assessment. As a tanager most of the dumb stuff we did was because we were bored, not drunk.

It's interesting. My first reaction upon hearing this news was "what a bunch of idiots". But then I took a moment and actually thought it out and this is absolutely something I would have done in my younger, dumber days. 16 yr old me, stumbling around like an idiot with my friends after having drank a collection of hard liquor strategically poached from our parents liquor cabinets could have easily resulted in a story similar to this in my younger days.

Very, very sad story. Multiple families lives have just been shattered. So tragic.

As a parent of a teen, I can't imagine how I'd feel right now if my boy wasn't home. Watching the news and knowing that they haven't notified all the parents yet.

Terrible tragedy. My boys ski at COP all the time.

Is there not 24 hour security around COP?

What a heartless thing to say. This is a group of teenagers being teenagers. They did not deserve this outcome. My heart goes out to their families, truly tragic.
