About the only positive I can think of to hopefully cheer up a few Flames fans here...

Draisaitl: 2 goals in 37 NHL games this year.
Bennett: 3 goals in 7 NHL playoff games this year.

That was a spanking. Fingers crossed the injuries aren't serious. Looking forward to see how this team responds in game 2

I want Ortio to start next game.

Losing Hudler for any length of time will be too much.

If Calgary is going to get schooled like that I would hope they at least learn a lesson from it.

Hopefully this wakes the Flames up nicely for the next game. I expect a tighter, better effort from the Flames.

Welp

Sportsnet Stats @SNstats
Last team to win a playoff series after losing by 5+ goals in Game 1 was the Hurricanes vs NJ in 2006. Carolina won the Cup later that year

Not too worried. The Flames played about as badly as they could, had key players get injured, and it still took a really opportunistic Duck team (especially on the powerplay) to make this score what it was.

Flames only need to win one game in this building and get three more cracks at doing that.

Can't help but wonder what happens if Jooris gets that goal.

I imagine we still lose, but maybe not by so much, ha.

You're never in trouble in playoffs until you lose at home.

Forget this game, move to game 2.
