Driving to Eugene Oregon
Heading down to catch a Ducks game. Wondering if anyone has made the drive? We will be leaving Thursday October 30th and heading back on the Monday the 3rd. Anybody got any advice on places to check out? Obviously it's a small university town but just looking for any advice if anybody has been

Stop at Multnomah Falls on the way down for a nice hike (go all the way up so you're above the falls). If you have time, definitely head to the coast and drive the PCH. Don't make eye contact with meth heads in small towns.

Jealous. That is all.
Too bad you weren't going on Oct 16 to 18 -- you could watch Oregon State play in Corvallis as well (the week before Stanford and Cal play back to back too, but the whole job thing gets in the way of what could have been a sweet PAC-12 road trip...)

We spent 2 weeks driving and camping along the Oregon Coast. Amazing drive and beaches and scenery.
Anyway, Eugene is just east of Florence. Go there, rent some ATVs or dirt bikes and hit the sand dunes. You'll have a blast.

I should add this is strictly a party trip. So hiking and what not is out of the question. Stopping in Portland is something we are thinking for sure

Portland is pretty much the food truck capital of the world, so there's that.

The Goonies house is in Astoria. Unless he's coming down the coast, It's not close.
If a Portland stop is in the cards, there are a few of us that could offer suggestions.

Spend most of your time in Portland, it's way better for partying.
