Z Nation TV Series: Syfy
There is another Zombie TV show out called Z Nation. There will be people who are excited about this and people who are sick of Zombies... I'm talking to the excited people.
Three years after the zombie virus has gutted the country, a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood.
The opener was above average and I will tune in for more to see where it goes.
Terrible terrible acting... If you think The Strain has bad acting then you will love making fun of the writing and delivery here.

Ugh that was bad. The was the stupidest thing I've ever seen and didn't make any sense. At lest they aren't using the classic syfy blood for this show.

That scene you spoilered was my favorite scene. The cheese was at factor 10 and I think that is what this show is going to be. I'm giving it my 3-4 episode chance but the topic alone probably means I'll watch it.

I'm afraid a banning might be in order...

OK, I watched it. It had a few pluses, like how fast people turn. For example in Walking Dead it takes about 4-8 hours to die from a bite, and then the person turns.
It's also good to see Jonathan Frakes' stunt double was able to find work again.
Can somebody tell me how exactly the baby turned? Couldn't be from blood splatter, as the other guy had more splatter on him.

Wow, so horrible it doesn't even deserve its own thread.

Or it's so horrible that it deserves its own thread!
In my defense I did say that the recommendation could be a ban-able offense!

I'm beginning to question PVRing it. That last episode made no sense. Why stop the zombies from going up when the gas is below. And don't even bother checking if you are filling the truck's tank with gas or diesel.
The only saving grace was that Rat now has himself a dog.
I'm giving it one more episode. And if anybody thinks I'm being too hard on it- I'm the one who liked Battlefield Earth. Enough that I bought the DVD.

I thought about watching last night's episode but was so disappointed with the first episode I decided to not bother.

It's like watching a train wreck. It's odd how I'm actually enjoying the show even though it's terrible. This type of TV makes you realize just how good other shows are... This show will continue to be watched by me, and I'll keep posting it here just for everyone who is curious.
Which will be nobody.

Don't judge a show by the first episode. Give it at least 3. In this case I'd say four. Give it five episodes.

I think I'd be safer going lone wolf than hang with this crew.
Pretty sad I that I was questioning every move they made, as mentioned above, why stop the Z's going up top when what you want is down stairs and why the F didn't they drive the truck away when the guy said hop in instead of standing around like a bunch of stunned mullets waiting for the tanks to explode? (And if that's how I feel, I'm sure a lot of other viewers were doing the same).
Not even close to an original story but may give it another episode or two.

If anybody else is like me and only has it on the PVR for when nothing else is on- the first 5 minutes of episode 3 is worth it for the "zombie kill of the week."

They went with an Apocalypse Now theme this week (madness of war?) Even stole a line from the movie.
Good idea. Piss poor execution.
Getting the zombie in the air shaft stoned was pretty funny.
The zombie kills will keep me coming back for now but don't know how long for.

I watched about 10 minutes of this last night. From where they shot, bludgeoned etc the zombie and then threw him into the exploding elevator shaft or whatever, up to the point where they shoot their friend who is walking like a zombie, that was in the exploding elevator shaft.
When I first read this thread I didn't believe it was as bad as people were saying, but now, I believe.

If that was all that you had seen, I would agree it was bad. However this week's episode was kind of good- I enjoyed it. You had to know Doc was going to survive. Once you accept the cheese factor, it's really not a bad show.
I thought the crazy general was a nice touch. Also showing how isolation is making Citizen Z a little creepy.

Was last night's episode actually good? Or am I becoming delusional? Aside from the obviously cheesy part it was actually pretty good.
(I'll refrain from posting any more in case others are waiting to catch up.)
