Default Family Houseboat Trip

So my parents have floated the idea of a family houseboat trip next summer - here's the demographics of the family:

- 2 adults in their 60's
- 4 adults in their late 30's or early 40's
- 3 kids aged 13, 10, and 2

Any suggestions on some more family-friendly providers or locations to best avoid the debauchery?

Thanks.

Well, you can pretty much dock your boat at night anywhere you want except for private property.

So as long as you avoid the party beaches (Neilson Beach), or beaches where there are already a whack of boats, you should be able to avoid the debauchery.

The couple times I have gone, there were nights where we wanted to just chill, so we just found an area where there wasn't really anyone else parked.

Invite Tronfdc, he is a family friendly house boater. Perhaps you can make him the activities supervisor.

Yea, agreed, went for the first time last year (and am going again in a week) we docked all three of our nights at Neilson Beach and had a great time, but its probably not the best place for a family to dock their boat.

You could try Sunshine Houseboats at Koocanusa. I see primarily families loading up down there, though there are still some party boats/beaches.
