Today has the final matches in Groups E and F. Just about anything can happen in Group E: France could be eliminated (remote, but possible), Honduras could qualify, there could be a three-way tie for first through third, or there could be a three-way tie for second through fourth!

Group E scenarios:

- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Ecuador with a loss
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Switzerland with a loss and Switzerland win

Ecuador:
- Qualifies with a better result than Switzerland
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. France with a win
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Switzerland with the same result as Switzerland
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Honduras with a loss and Honduras win
- Eliminated with a worse result than Switzerland

Switzerland:
- Qualifies with a better result than Ecuador
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. France with a win and France loss
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Ecuador with the same result as Ecuador
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Honduras with a loss and Ecuador loss
- Eliminated with a worse result than Switzerland

Honduras:
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Switzerland and Ecuador with a win and Ecuador loss
- Eliminated with a draw, loss, Ecuador win, or Ecuador draw

With so many possible ties, I'm not going to get into tiebreakers for this group.

- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Iran* for qualification/elimination with loss and Iran win

Iran:
- Goes to tiebreaks vs. Nigeria* for qualification/elimination with win and Nigeria loss
- Eliminated with a loss or draw
- Eliminated with a Nigeria win or draw

Bosnia and Herzevogina:
- Eliminated

*Tiebreaks - Nigeria vs. Iran
- If [ (Iran margin of victory) + (Nigeria margin of loss) ] > 2: Iran qualifies, Nigeria eliminated
- If [ (Iran margin of victory) + (Nigeria margin of loss) ] = 2 AND Iran scores at least two more goals than Nigeria: Iran qualifies, Nigeria eliminated
- If [ (Iran margin of victory) + (Nigeria margin of loss) ] = 2 AND Iran scores one more goal than Nigeria: flip coin - winner qualifies, loser eliminated
- Otherwise: Nigeria qualifies, Iran eliminated

yup, unless Ecuador win something like 5-4 or higher.

I'm trying to work it out.
Suisse are currently 4-6 = -2
Ecuador are currently 3-3 = 0

So if Ecuador wins 4-3 and Suisse win 3-0 there would be a coin flip. (both would be a 7-6 = +1)
