we could probably move this into the main thread area since it is the off season. We all need something decent to talk about rather than the millionth trade proposal.

The development camp is actually in July from the 5th to the 9th on ice I believe from the schedule. The times you have listed are for the group of prospects working out together in Calgary over the summer.

With City of Brotherly Love NHL draft in the books anyone hear if Flames have any development camp additions?
My invite wish list include:
Rihards Bukarts
Luke Philp
Reid Gardner
Gavin Bayreuther
Vlad Tkachev
Tyson Baillie
Scott Savage, Boston College
Pius Suter
Joe Hicketts
Ivan Nikolishin
Nick Wolff
Phil Baltisberger
Andrew Mangiapane
Cody Donaghey
Colby Cave
Don't seem to typically see Euros (correct me if I'm wrong), but invite:
Joni Tuulola
Sebastian Aho
Lawrence Pilut
Leon Bristedt

I wanted them to draft Hicketts so I hope he gets an invite. They got a few Victoria Royals anyways and there is a connection with Lowry coaching there. Another smaller dmen that could get an invite is Brandon Fortunato who played on the US Developmental Team and is a Boston University commit where Hickey is going next year. I could see Tyson Baillie getting an invite with the Huska hiring. Wonder what will happen to Brady Vail who didn't end up getting selected after re-entering the draft.

Tod Button mentioned on their last pick it was between the kid they choice or two other blueliners they were looking at. Will be interesting to see the invites and see if Button managed to get these guys to camp regardless.

I thought they ran these during Stampede? Perhaps they want to get the kids all Stampede'd up and then shock them with Dev Camp?

The dates in the OP are incorrect. Development Camp is July 4-10, so right during stampede. July 4th is testing day at the UofC and the 10th looks to be departure day. These are the Winsport listed times for on ice sessions.
Saturday, July 5th 10am - 3:45pm
Sunday, July 6th 10am - 3:45pm
Monday, July 7th 10am - 1:30pm
Tuesday, July 8th 10am - 12:45pm
Wednesday, July 9th 10am - 12:00pm
All booked in Arena B - Joan Snyder.

As a Kootenay Ice fan, I gotta say I'd love to see Luke Philp invited to camp. I know he's only 5'10, but the kid's got a ton of skill.

Did Tkachev not get drafted? I've seen him play and he is amazingly talented. He's small but already weighs as much as Gaudreau. He made Barbachev look like a pylon by comparison.

Some info when it comes to Euros (playing overseas) and invitations to summer development camps:
For a European player, in the past there have been cases where there were visa issues complicating ability to attend the summer camp, even for a drafted player.
"The CBA (8.9) rules are different for signing a European prospect in the off-season if the player is younger and did not play in North America for the entire prior season. As we have seen in the past, with Nathan Walker/WSH and Tomas Hyka/PHI two high profile examples, some players attend but are ineligible to be signed. Does not prevent team from inviting or a player from attending, but it does change the situation for younger European prospects who did not play all of last season in North America."
For reference: CBA 8.9 Eligibility for Play in the League
No Player shall be eligible for play in the League unless he:
(a) had been claimed in the last Entry Draft, or was ineligible for claim under Section 8.4; or (b) had been eligible for claim in the last Entry Draft, but was unclaimed,
and:
(i)had played hockey in North America the prior season and was age 20 or older at the time of the last Entry Draft, and signed an SPC which was signed and registered with the League between the conclusion of the Entry Draft and commencement of the next NHL Season.
(ii) had played hockey in North America the prior season and was under age 20 at the time of the last Entry Draft, and signed an SPC which was signed and registered with the League between the conclusion of the Entry Draft and commencement of the Major Juniors season (except that if such Player had signed an NHL try-out form, which was signed and registered with the League during the aforesaid time period, then the deadline for signing and registering with the League an SPC with such try-out Club shall be the commencement of the NHL Season).
(iii) had played hockey outside of North America in the prior season and was age 22 or older at the time of the last Entry Draft and signed an SPC which was signed and registered with the League between the conclusion of the Entry Draft and the commencement of the next NHL Season.
(iv) The words "eligible for claim in the last Entry Draft" in subparagraph (b) above mean "eligible for claim in all rounds of the last Entry Draft." The words "the prior season" in subparagraph (i), (ii) and (iii) above mean "a full season prior to the last Entry Draft."

Joe Hicketts headed to Red Wings camp. Wings and Coyotes inviting a ton of players. Flames with the loan invite according to this list - at least at this point and from what this guy has gathered.
