Default Seoul, South Korea

so CP folks,
Ive been presented with an opportunity to go to Seoul on an 18 - 24 month contract with my company.
I personally have no issue saying yes immediately as I LOVE to do stuff like this...but my wife might be a harder sell.
Talk to me CPland...what are the pros and cons of life in Seoul? Id have weekends and holidays to do as I please.
Need to give an answer to HO by next Monday LOL...so let er rip.

I think it would be very cool except that your next door neighbor (ie: North Korea) is a complete wing nut dictator that really really wants to rule all of Korea, not just his half. Don't know much about the city of Seoul itself though. Would be a cool cultural experience for sure.

I loved Seoul, I would definitely go back and live there if given the opportunity. The food and the partying were awesome. The transit system was excellent and it was super easy to get around. There was tons of really cool stuff to see.

The only issue I had was the smog. It was really overwhelming and my throat was raw the entire time I was over there.

My wife hated shopping for clothes in Korea.... Unless you are size 0 to 1 you often get shooed out of places as you're too fat for them.

Flights are short and cheap to all kinds of other countries in the region.

Thailand, Japan, Singapore, China, Malaysia. You can do a bunch of weekend getaways.
