My first score was 9000. Not sure if that's good or bad lol.

Good lord what a fun time waster.

I got over 6000 from one guess... but I got pretty lucky when the map placed me next to a "Explore Key West" sight seeing van.

New Zealand messed me up twice though.

I got one 3.7km from the actual point (middle of Brazil, there was a road sign with the "Welcome to", and lucky to find it on the map), and got a score of 6600 for that.. so getting 5 like that would be 33,000.

I guessed one on the wrong side of the planet as well, got 600 for that lol.

I don't know why, but this very cool.

Yeah I got messed up by New Zealand too.

GeoGuessr - I screwed up my 1st pick, I chose the middle of the USA and thought I could move from there.
Still got 18240 points in total.

Here's my first attempt. 14284

I lucked out with one had a repair van with "Kitamat, BC" on it.
Another I got within 11 kms of a soccer field in Germany.

I managed to get 50 points for one lol, I guessed in the UK somewhere and it was on the east coast of Australia...

On the same one I got a road in the middle of the desert with nothing in view except low mountains in the distance.. guessed middle of Nevada, got 200km away lol.

Hint - check the side of the road cars are on, and look for signposts and whether it's KM vs. miles.

Got 6800 from getting to the right intersection (in Auckland). Unfortunately guessing Mexico instead of Spain based on a Spanish sign killed my total. I'm going to be wasting far too much time on this. Thanks.

I got one in kind of a grassy clearing in a forest with a pattern that may have indicated a cart may have passed by sometime since medieval times. And there were no arrows, so I couldn't move. I guessed northern hemisphere based on the trees, got that right, but wrong side of the ocean. A botanist would probably nail it.

Had another one where the google camera was scuba diving with a big turtle looking at me, guessed Africa due to seeing turtles on a documentary, nope Australia.

This totally needs to be a party game, imagine doing it with a group of 3-4 people with everyone's knowledge, taking turns as a team.

I want to hook up my laptop to a TV and have people over just to do this.

I got a dirt road with a couple of mechanic shops in a green area. One of the homemade signs had a "3922" area code, and the shop had another sign that said "Chaykovsky" on it, which I knew there was a city in Russia with a name similar to "Tchaikovsky" because of the old computer I played as a kid "You Don't Know Jack". I ended up getting 0.3 from the location!

So OBSCURE.

I don't think I'll ever get closer than this. I put me right in front of the Dawson City General Store.

I've been playing off and on for a few days. My previous closest was a street in Sao Paulo that was only 0.140km from my guess.
