I've spent a little time there. I'd recommend the Rock and Roll HOF and also go see a Cavs game if you can. I got to see Lebron before he split town and it was an awesome thing to watch.

I am travelling to Cleveland tomorrow for a meeting. Staying until Saturday morning. I have some free time Friday afternoon and evening.
Any advice on what to do where to eat. I will be staying near Cleveland Clinic and am thinking of heading to the baseball game in the evening.
Anything I should avoid.
Thanks for the help.
Radley
Go to the game, the stadium is wicked built for baseball. I was there over the 4th of July a couple years ago and couldn't believe how abandoned the downtown was. Only went to the RnR HOF and the game, DONT plan to eat at the RnR HOF. Thats all I know, was styaing with some relatives

Yup see the rock n roll hall of fame! Great building.
The old warehouse district just down from the hall has some great eateries and if time get to the Italian village for good eats.
They have a very old cemetery that houses a president and other top dignitaries if you like the morbid.
A great river cruise around the city core...lots of history...if weather is warm.
Michael Symon's restaurant Lola is in downtown Cleveland and apparently it's pretty good. Whenever I watch him compete on Iron Chef, the man knows how to throw a menu together.
You have to go the West Side Market. It's one of the best food markets in the U.S. and has a ton of awesome Eastern European food stalls. The beef jerky at Czuchraj meats is particularly famous.
Apparently it suffered some fire damage in January and temporarily closed, but the official site says they're open again from 7am-4pm every day (6pm on Fridays and Saturdays).

Had some time Friday afternoon to look around.
Went to the West Side Market. Pretty cool place. Bought about a pound of beef jerky from Czuchraj meats. Great stuff. Thanks Gargamel.
Watched the Indians beat the White Sox in the evening. It stopped raining long enough to get in 9 innings. Really nice ball park.
Those videos are surprisingly (or not) pretty accurate.
Thanks for the tips all.
Next week: Going to Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. Any advice?

The aquarium, the Coke museum, a Braves or Hawks game and strip clubs are the standard places that are recommended for Atlanta, but you should also check out the episode of Anthony Bourdain's The Layover from January too as it was excellent.
