Only 3 games in this span for Montreal, but 3 wins.
Player - Patrick Sharp - 3 GP: 3g, 4a and +6
Defense - Stephane Robidas - 3 GP: 2a and +6
Goalie - Jimmy Howard - Perfect 3-0, 78 saves on 85 shots for a .918 SP
Poster - A little unorthodox but I need to give this guy props, I nominate silentsim for poster of the week. Even though it's been more than a week since I took over, I just figured out this POTW now so I'll do it on my first nomination. He has helped me more than any other poster in getting on board this game. From walking me through my first submission, answering my many questions, and even bringing my attention to a salary savings in a farm issue just today, silentsim has made this game easy for me to get used to for a guy who has never played in a fantasy league before.

Toronto only had 3 games last week, going 1-1-1.
Player: Vincent Lecavalier (70 overall): 2 G + 2 A = 4 P, +2, 14 shots, 61% faceoffs, 1x 2nd star
Lecavalier has once again been the offensive leader for my team, scoring two goals and adding two assists over the course of the week. Lecavalier first scored a vital goal in the Leafs' 3-2 SO loss against Florida, tying the game late in the third period with just 33 seconds left, sending the game to overtime. He then starred in the Leafs' 5-1 win over Philly, scoring a goal and setting up two others (both primary assists). He was named the game's second star in this one. Although he didn't score in the final game of the week, he was extremely important for Leafs in the faceoff circle, winning 52 of 85 from the dot (61 percent).
Unsung: Michael Grabner (65 overall): 2 G + 2 A = 4 P, +2, 13 shots, 1x 1st star
The Austrian winger has found a home in Toronto, nearly playing at a point-per-game basis (14+15 in 30 games) since being acquired by the Leafs early in the season. Last week, Grabner assisted on Lecavalier's late tying goal in the Florida game before finishing off Philadelphia (nearly) all by himself with two goals and one assist. He was named the game's first star in this matchup, before going scoreless in the loss to Boston. Grabner once again proved his value when his team is a man down: against Florida, he spent 3:58 minutes on the PK, as Toronto killed off all 5 Panthers powerplays. Against Boston, he spent 1:50 minutes on the PK, as Toronto killed off both Bruins powerplays. He didn't play on the PK at Philly - probably because the Leafs took no minor penalties in that game
Goalie: Jean-Sebastien Giguere (78 overall): 1-1-1, 1.94 GAA, .948% svs, 1x 1st star
Jiggy has cooled down a bit after being the Leafs' clear MVP in early stages of the season, but he stills puts in some fine performances. Last week, he was fantastic, starting in all of the Leafs' games and posting very good numbers despite facing a total of 115 shots in just three games. Giguere started the week with a very good performance in a 3-2 SO loss against Florida. He stopped 39 shots in that game, including 7 in overtime. He conceded just one goal in 6 shootout rounds, but the Leafs eventually lost the game. Not Giguere's fault though, as he was named the games' first star. He then backstopped the Leafs to a 5-1 win against Philadelphia, registering 32 saves. Finally, he had 38 saves against the Bruins, but he couldn't prevent the team's 3-1 loss.

Pens went 3-1 on the week and put up some big offense numbers:
Player
Niklas Backstrom 4gp 3g 4a 7pts +6 1st star, 58% winning percentage in the face off dot. Backstrom kick started the offense while he played very well defensively with a +6 rating.
Defenseman
Erik Karlsson 4gp 3g 5a 8pts +5 2nd star, 3rd star
Always the offensive catalyst on the Pens Karlsson had a huge week defensively as well. He clicked at a 2 PPG click while posting a +5 rating.
Unsung
Saku Koivu
4gp 1g 4a 5pts +3 60% faceoff percentage.
Koivu put up huge numbers clicking at over a PPG pace from the 3rd line. Koivu was an ace on the faceoff dot winning 60% of his draws.
Rookie
Max Pacioretty
4gp 1g 2a 3pts +5
Pacioretty continued his torrid pace as a first year player scoring once and adding 2 helpers as he continues to flourish in all situations.
