Proceeds go towards supporting the Calgary Blind Hockey Association. The Calgary Blind Hockey Association provides an opportunity for the blind and visually impaired to experience hockey first hand.

If you know someone who is visually impaired that would be interested in trying hockey please let me know as we are always looking for interest from the visually impaired community.

If you would be interested in volunteering, or have a team that would like to play us, please contact me and we can discuss what the team is about and how you could contribute to this rewarding experience.

Last year we had some great support from CP, and the winner was actually Delgar from CalgaryPuck. If you're interested here are the links to our auctions from the past few years.

We also had another CP member come out and write a story on us for the Calgary Herald last year. I have a copy of it, but for the life of me I can't get it to scan into a picture that would be meaningful in the forum (will try to figure it out though and post if anyone is interested.

I can. I actually setup a paypal account last year for our raffle as I found some people were more comfortable dealing through paypal than meeting in person or through e-mail money transfer.

All I would need from you is some basic contact information through PM and I can fill out the tickets and scan a copy to send to you.

I would like to help promote this charity (I had a serious eye issue a few years back, all resolved now, but I really understand how crappy it can be to have eyesight problems), and that I won the jersey was purely a bonus last time.

I'll match up to 40 CP purchased tickets (effectively, $200 worth of tickets). If you are a CP member before March 12, 2012, and you buy a ticket, I'll also buy you one ticket. One extra ticket per person, and I'm prepaying your extra ticket. If this offer isn't snapped up, I guess I just bought a lot of extra tickets for my friends and family !

Thanks everyone for your interest so far, and thanks Delgar for adding some extra incentive for everyone! I read through your post on my way to work this morning, but didn't actually read it in detail until now.

For anyone who purchases tickets up to the first 40 I'll keep track and fill in your details on the additional tickets Delgar is buying for you on your behalf.

5 of the 40 are already purchased, with another 4-6 of interest.

If this provides some extra incentive we do have 1,000 tickets, but many of our players have no real means to sell large amounts of tickets, so a few of us tend to drive the majority of sales. The past 2 years we've managed to sell in the 300-400 range, so you do have fairly decent odds at winning the jersey.
I'll keep a running tally and can update you as people pay.

This is the 3rd year we've done a jersey raffle and I believe for the past 2 years the jersey has been an XL.
