Default Goon - the movie

Might be fun, Seann Scott(Stiffler), Liev Schreiber(Wolverine),Eugene Levy and other notables.

And directed by a local guy, and FUBAR director. Michael Dowse.

Went to school with him back in the day.

Sabretooth, not Wolverine. But yeah could be funny. I'll probably check it out.

Saw it tonight..

A lot of laughs!

Probably not the best movie to take your girlfriend/wife to unless she absolutely loves hockey.. There's tons of swearing and blood. If she likes that, well then you my friend have a better one than I do..

Can't wait to see it. For a movie that looks this stupid I'm surprised to see a number of big names in it (like Liev Schreiber for one).

Was in the UK cinemas early January.

Wanted to see it but my trips to the movies these days are to watch kids films.

This is Jay Baruchel's passion project. For anyone who's followed his career or even has him on twitter, he's easily the biggest hockey fan of any working actor out there. To go along with that, the guy is very patriotic about being Canadian, and has talked all over this press junket about trying to reverse the trend of Canadian actors only coming back to Canada to shoot stuff when work drys up in the States. His last 3 or 4 films, including this (shot in Winnipeg), have all been done in Canada.

To sum it all up, this movie comes from a very hockey passionate mind and not a hollywood producers. The film really has some heart to it and pays tribute to our game. It's a very solid movie and one all hockey fans should see.

Yeah no kidding. I think all the ads for it have now been taken down here. How bizarre that a movie about hockey directed by a Calgarian would be released in London before Calgary... or released here at all.

My guess is it has more to do with the director's history. His previous movie "Take Me Home Tonight" was a total flop. Before that he did "It's All Gone Pete Tong", which did reasonably well in Britain, but was a flop in North America. They probably thought they'd test out the waters in Britain before bothering with domestic marketing and release.

Does Liev Schreiber call goals 'scores' in the movie like he does on HBO 24/7

If only there was a place on the Internet where we could pool our thoughts regarding a specific topic from multiple sources, and place them into a single location where other people could speak about it independently of other thoughts...
