I've seen scattered P&R talk in different threads and I'm sick of feeling like a DB by hijacking other threads to talk about it. Direct your P&R talk here. I know its kind of a polarizing show in these parts, but whatever, I'm a fan.

Anyway, finally got around to watching last week's episode, thought it was pretty good. Laughed at Tom working on the new font for the department: "The only cool font is the Sopranos, with the R's as pistols".

Right now this show is easily my favorite comedy. I love Community, but I think P&R is funnier as there are no constant meta jokes which get annoying.

Every season they are getting funnier so that's a good sign, even though it doesn't excel in the ratings (but which good show does?).

I love the show, but I am getting really sick of Tom. I'm not really a fan of Aziz to begin with and I think his character is getting really tired on Parks and Rec.

Like everyone else, I was saddened by the loss of Little Sebastien and howled when the torch lighting ceremony went awry.

Ron: An hour ago an entire fireball consumed my entire face and it was far preferable to spending another second with you.

Tammy: Tell that to your pants tent.

More quotes:

Of all my coworkers he is one of a small number of whom I do not actively root against...uh, there I go again gettin' all sappy.

"We have one activity planned: not getting killed" -

Ron: Anne was getting a little chummy. When people get a little too chummy with me I like to call them by the wrong name to let them know I don't really care about them.
April: That's a really nice move.
Ron: Thank you.
April: You're welcome Lester.

Ron: What are you doing here?
Leslie: Running away from my problems.
Ron: Come on in.

Ron Swanson is my hero . . . . . if only because I know several bureaucrats who are very similar in real life.

This thread is dope.

The hardest I've laughed at this show yet was the Shockwire segment of the Halloween episode, and the ensuing examination of Andy and April's toolkit by Ron.

You know ... I find this show enjoyable ... but not 'LOL' funny. I keep watching it, hoping for more, but it always seems to be just a hair shy of being a great comedy.

I don't know what it is. Like I said, I enjoy the show. But I'd say it's good, not great.

I feel the character development in this show is amazing. I think thats what makes it. really happy they developed Swansons character more in these last 2 seasons.

The budding mentor-student relationship between Ron and Andy is one of my favourite bits on the show.

The Kyle hatred is also great...shut up Kyle

Last week's was pretty good too,

Andy(to Ron): Want a show shine? Its $100.
Kyle: *Laughs*
April: Laugh all you want Kyle, I already took the money out of your wallet.

Andy with the lions the week before was pretty hilarious too. I think the my favourite line was Jean Ralphio when he tells Tom to quote Vince Vaughn in his Best Man speech.

Tom: Swingers? or Wedding Crashers?
Jean-Ralphio: Fred Claus.

Ron Swanson is probrably the best character on TV right now. The show is great, and if it hadn't passed The Office before Michael Scott left, they certainly have now.

Love the look on Tom's face after Jean-Ralphio gives him the advice. Mind=blown.

I know those 2 aren't for everybody, but I love em. They make me laugh so hard. Them, Swanson and Andy are easily my favourite charactes on that show.

The first season and a half are pure garbage, but then it suddenly transforms into pure gold. I love the show after the first season and a half. And let's be honest, it mostly because of Ron.

Although when everyone gets the flu and Rob Lowe's character is looking in the mirror and says: "Stop. Pooping!"

I lost my mind laughing.

The opening segments are gold, just like The Office's were. Last weeks when Rob Lowe just starts laughing harder and harder was excellent.

Everything that Andy and Ron do is gold as well, favorite characters by far. Also, Rashida Jones is fine.

I think he has been made too absurd. Subtlety would be better.

I did not know Rashida Jones is Quincy Jones's daughter.
