The proposed location of the ballpark is great too. Just north of Allegiant Stadium and across the highway from T-Mobile, and a shade south of the centre of The Strip.
Maybe my next Las Vegas vacation I'll get to catch a ballgame?
Interesting that they're only putting up 35k seats. I get the seats they're taking out compared to other parks are probably the cheap seats, but I'd think Vegas would be a good market for ticket sales. Although winter is almost certainly a better season for Vegas tourism than summer given the weather.
Yeah from what I read the Warriors leaving Oakland for San Fran is like getting a daily rabbit punch to the sack instead of one swift kick.
I fail to see why an Oakland-based Warriors fan would suddenly stop being a fan of the team simply because it moved a stone's throw away from where it used to play...
It's not like the team was renamed to SF Warriors or something.
Yeah it's kind of sad for the die hards in Oakland about all the heartache lately. But it's to be expected. They just don't have the population or economy to support professional sports anymore. Going on a tangent here but its the same reason the Winnipeg Jets are so annoying. We're supposed to sit here and feel sorry/be happy about the folks in Winnipeg. But the reality is they provide nothing for the league other than a top 25 richest person in the world, David Thomson, having a pet project and keeping them afloat. The Athletics will never get that. The MLB is better off in Las Vegas. We can just keep the Oakland version of the A's in the history books.

It's largely based on Oakland bring more of a working class place with a higher Black population. San Francisco is for the rich and mostly white people. It's a daily reminder of what they had, but can no longer have.

You've demonstrated your complete ignorance on this topic already.
No need to double down.

Shohei Ohtani hit a third-inning home run off Colin Rea that reached 162 feet above the field, the highest since Statcast started tracking in 2015, and helped the Los Angeles Angels beat the Milwaukee Brewers 3-0 on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep.
Ohtani hit his seventh home run of the season on an 85.9 mph cutter from Rea (0-2). Ohtani is batting .394 (13 for 33) in his last eight games and .294 for the season.
