He is friends with Jimmy Hayes as evidenced by Jimmy Hayes making a cameo ~26:00 into a video Picard made to promote a 3 on 3 tournament in Boston (Keith Yandle also makes an apperance).

Pittsburgh is at 50 contracts but two are slide risk so they can add Hayes without subtracting. Maata is on IR to start so salary room is there too.

Kevin Hayes all in my brain
Lately seems he won't be a Flame
Feelin' bummed, but I don't know why
Excuse me while I kiss this guy

I assumed so, since the lyrics were a love letter to Hayes. But, it's a prevalent error, so who knows?

I think there is an almost 0% chance he will sign here so I will be glad when the topic goes away. At first it was a fun summer thread but now it is just frustrating....

As the maximum amount that his contract can be is already set I would love to hear the sales job that each team are making to this kid.
Alright you will get the usual promises of guaranteed 1st or 2nd line minutes from the Oilers but if everyone says they are a stanley cup contendor (Bruin, Penguins, maybe the Rangers or Avs) you need something else to sway you, any suggestions other than the boring "He's from Boston"??
Do the Rangers flash neon lights in his eyes and tell him he could drink in the clubs of Times square every night (But don't get caught by the coach )

Perhaps if he signs with the Bruins they will be forced to complete a cap dump deal and the flames can scoop up a decent player for cheap?

Personally I feel there is too much hype about "Mr. Charmin". I know the Flames are in short supply on RW but I am hoping that we try Knight on the right side this season.

I agree they should try Knight on the right side this season due to his Right handed shot.
I'm assuming the Flames are hesitant to move him from centre because Knight is one of the best face-off men in our organization. Doesn't hurt to have 2 guys on a line that can play the dot though. Not to mention our Centre depth puts him in a 4th line role at best when injuries occur.

Agreed, should probably try Arnold there as well seeing as it's their best shot to crack the team

Almost anywhere is incredibly liveable when you're loaded.

Either Knight or Arnold should be tried on the right side. With Knight specifically he could still take faceoffs since that is a strength.
I think that with both of them a little bit less defensive responsibility by shifting to RW, could make their offensive game take off.

Knight played the defensive center role very well last year so I hope he stays at center and is a 3rd/4th line center in the future. Like you mentioned his faceoff percentage is by far the best in the organization and he is only getting better in other areas of his game.
