Scanning a phone can work well, the scanners in the movie theaters to get tickets seem to work fine, but stores don't have that as a priority when they buy scanners I guess.

FYI - App integration and 3D scanners are in the IT roadmap for Shoppers I believe

Zombie Road Trip (free) is up there with the most addictive games I've played. Typical freemium model, but nothing feels unfairly out of reach. I've had enough fun with it I might throw them a few bucks.

Tiny Wings/Tiny Wings HD, Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery, Where's my Water, Infinity Blade II and the awesome new game BADLANDS are all free for the first time!
I believe it must be promotion for the App Stores 5th anniversary, so there could be more big deals to come. Meanwhile all 5 of those games are must haves

Where's my Water? remains one of my favourite iOS games. Smart little puzzles in that one. Never did try Infinity Blade 2 or Badland but meant to.

Due to your recommendation, I've spent/invested the past 2 weeks on this game. Simple, addictive and just challenging enough that you don't blow a gasket when you lose.

Tell me about Tapatalk 2 for the ipad - had v1 (tapatalk hd) and didn't like it - I thought the interface sucked. How is v2, should I try it?

I see that Plants vs Zombies 2 is now available on the App Store. AFAIK, it just came out today? I can pretty much automatically assume it belongs in this thread.
It's free-to-play, but apparently not in a bad way. I'd still drop money on it anyway because it's freaking PvZ, but yeah.

It came out last night as I nearly stayed up to play it (which would have been a disastrous mistake). I've heard mixed reviews on the freemium usage. Some claim it's well done while others say it's terrible. Not sure who to believe right now. I've only played a few levels and it's great so far.

Does anyone know of a good app for youtube videos? They've changed the regular youtube app and it's awful now.

Jasmine or TubeBox. I actually like the new YouTube app but I used Jasmine while waiting for an official iPad app.

One of my favorite radio apps is free today. Tunein Radio Pro just dropped from $4.99 to free today. I am assuming this is a limited time offer.
I know many of you have this app already but for those who don't, this would be a good time to give this app a try.

I can't say enough good things about myfitnesspal. I ballooned up to 250 pounds (my cut weight is 205) the last couple years after I blew out my shoulder, and had to quit hitting the weights, but forgot to quit the high calorie workout diet. I started using the app 2 weeks ago to track my diet/exercise routine. 10 pounds in two weeks lost. In the past when I have had to battle my appetite, I relied on Jenny Craig, and weight watchers frozen meals... expensive crappy food. The fact that the app is free and so effective if you follow it, blows my mind. And you can just buy normal food. 10X better than any other diet program out there at any price. I follow the recommended daily allowances, and my energy levels are through the roof, my skin is nicer, I am more alert.... I already feel 1000 X better only two weeks in.
To me this is one of those true "Technology that can really change your life." things. 20 years ago, you'd need to hit the library for hours, hire a dietician, and a personal trainer to get the same expert guidance.
Awesome, awesome, app.
